> Introduction

The Zavala package is located in the Maverick basin of South Texas within the western extent of the Eagle Ford Shale tight oil fairway. Centrally located in Zavala County, SBJ Energy Partners LLC. has assembled 53000 acres of contiguous petroleum rights in a recognized area of significant Eagle Ford Shale, Austin Chalk and Buda light oil potential (MAP 2). Recently, Zavala County has seen considerable activity as operators develop these horizons utilizing horizontal drilling combined (in some cases) with multi-stage fracing technology. In addition, operators have successfully applied other technologies including under balanced drilling, gas fracing and 3D seismic attribute analysis to successfully exploit previously uneconomic horizons. (See Maps 3, 4, and 5).

SBJ Energy Partners is preparing to develop a significant contingent resource base by applying techniques and strategies that have been successfully utilized by offsetting operators in the Chalk, Eagle Ford and Buda. Type curves generated from offsetting activity and production in these horizons have indicated the potential for significant initial production rates and EUR’s from all three horizons. Initial operations (Stage One) will involve the stimulation, sidetracking and tie in of 4 cased oil wells on the lands. These wells have been logged, cored, cased, completed and swab tested. Data provided by this operation will guide the placement and drilling of the first tranche of 10 development wells (Stage Two) on the lease leading to full field development. Estimated CAPEX, Reserves and Economics for Stages One and Two of the program are provided in this presentation.
